...Guess it is time to dust off the old website and do our first update in over a year. I know it’s classy to leave the Christmas Tree up all year long, but this year we’ll give it a break.
So, what’s been goin’ on?

The Fireside Chats Album
What did I say last year? That it’d be done early '06? Well, it’s done, but we’re sitting on it. I promised Axl that we wouldn’t trump the Chinese Democracy release, but he’s really starting to test my patience. Truly, it is done, we just need to mix it. Hopefully sooner than later.

The Solo Album
Late November ’05, while driving and listening to NPR like a good citizen, I heard a story about National Solo Album Month, where people are encouraged to write and record a solo album (all by your lonesome) in the month of November. As it was too late to get involved at that time, I did make a mental note to try to do this in '06. So, since I was not busy enough with work and grad school, I decided to do the solo album, which I’m putting on here for free download.

I know what you’re saying -- am I crazy to be giving it away for free? Maybe so. I was informed by Malta (head of IT at ChatsCorp) that the initial rush temporarily shut down the Internet, so my apologies for any inconvenience. But by now, we all know how crooked the record biz is and how poorly the artist is treated, so we were looking at alternative distribution methods. PayPal seems too mainstream at this point, so we came up with PayMe. Here is how it works. You download the album, then, when you are out somewhere and see me, just walk up and hand me $12.99. You do not need to say anything. I’ll know what it’s for and you’ll know what it’s for, and together we can really stick it to those Fat Cats in Washington.

Aviso’Hara
Played our final show in Wilmington, NC in May. Many thanks to all the great folks at WeFest. We do keep in touch now and again. Three of us met up in Brooklyn a few weeks ago where we also ran into a couple of the Pilot to Gunner guys (at which point, Dave and I had to take a step back before we ended up on a bender from Baltimore to Boston). Drummer lives in Portland and Singer in the OC, Southern California.

Eastern Anchors
What is this? Are the rumors true? A full functioning bi-coastal band? Find out, January 5th, at the Brighton Bar, Long Branch, NJ. Also, listen in to WRSU around 10pm.

Happy Twenty-07,
